Scaring grown men to tears

Imagine the last time you were scared from a horror movie. For me that has been ages ago. Obviously I thought I’m a tough guy, nothing can scare me. Well I was wrong.

In “The Lost Souls” you wake up in a dungeon not knowing what’s going on. The more you progress in this haunted house you find out, that you need to finish a gruesome ritual in order to escape this madness.

However, be aware there are several evil spirits that don’t like you disturbing them and especially not you leaving. They rather recruit you into their army of ghosts.

Conclusion

The Losts Souls is one of the most atmospheric games I have played on the OUYA. You get into the game without any instructions and immediately get sucked into the game. Yes the graphics aren’t AAA style but quite frankly, who cares?

I was never scared to death in a game before (ok not true, but let’s just pretend). The Lost Souls managed to pull me into constant adrenalin high with constant goose bumps, jump scares and more than normal sweating.

One scene in particular was very traumatic and I couldn’t even rewatch the scene while cutting the footage for the Let’s Play. So if you’re never scared and you’re a tough man (or woman) like I, give The Lost Souls a try. The entire first episode is free so what’s keeping you from proving your toughness? ;)

Also make sure to check out our Let’s Play below.

About Tim von Janssen

Tim has started playing PC Games at the tender age of 8 (ca.1990-1991) on monochrome screens and hasn’t stopped ever since. Due to that love for video games that has developed very early Tim also knows why older games very successful despite mediocre graphics. One simple reason: gameplay. Tim feels that with the development of the OUYA and the stronger focus on indie game studios is the right step towards better gaming experiences that rely more heavily on unique game concepts and better gameplay in general. Well the game is good.. a little bit short. I play the first one chapter, I saw only one time the “monster” ..and you’re right it scary me . The atmosphere is good but I’ll wish to see more horros scene.
